Research on welfare indicates that the welfare states of the Nordic countries can resist pressure from globalization. At the same time, many people feel that the welfare system in actual fact functions with increasing difficulty.
Daniel Ankarloo (picture), researcher and lecturer in social work at Malmö Högskola, has conducted an in-depth study of this subject and believes that this feeling is correct – the welfare system functions worse than before.
